Hello Hello,

Its Fri-yay! I hope you have had a great week! How are those of you with kids on school holidays coping? Ready to send them back yet?!

I’ve had a pretty good week. Very excited as behind the scenes, Brooke from The Lover Lab has been giving my little blog a bit of a make over and it’s close to being complete. I can’t wait to share it with you.

Carly & Christina

I’m also super excited to be off to the Little Blog Big workshop tomorrow, run by the uber talented Carly from Smaggle and Christina from Hair Romance. (pictured left) Cant wait to meet them both, learn as much as I can and see some of my awesome Bloggy friends. (photo source)

In the meantime, here’s some gold I’ve stumbled upon this week…

If you love reading blogs as much as I do, Fleur from Our Urban Box wrote a cracker of a post on how to support your favourite bloggers. We really do love a bit of comment love!

Speaking of bloggers, two of the my faves, Emma Kate Co and Jacklyn from Blog Society have teamed up in a collective celebration of self care during April, offering a free printable each week. Come and join the celebration… frame them, pop them on your vision board and share on social media tagging #bloglovefest and don’t forget to take some time out for just YOU!

I shared these Shedquarters the other day on the facebook page, then I saw these She-Sheds  and she-sheds-12OMG!! I now want to turn the kids cubby house into a She-Shed. Surely they wouldn’t mind?! #3 is my fave (pictured). Which do you like?

You know how much I love an Ikea hack, check out these ones for nursery’s. I adore #8!

The lovely Arlene from Starrtrekking joined me on my2morrows with this guest post during Autism Awareness Week, sharing some honest tips on how best to support families affected by Autism. With 1 in 100 of our kids having Autism, chances are you know someone who would greatly appreciate a casserole and some wine!

And on the work/career front, this article about The Motherhood Penalty raises the question… how are we meant to ‘lean in’ anyway?

Enjoy the links and have a wonderful week end!

As you head into the week end, how are you taking some time for you?

Has the Motherhood Penalty affected you?

How would you theme your She-Shed?

What a week. I’m so grateful for Saturday to stop and just breathe!

The week started with an inspiring Bloggers session at General Assembely where we heard from Christina Butcher Editor – Hair Romance, Blog Society’s Founder, Jacklyn Carlson, Felicity Grey – Managing Director at Nuffnang, Jean Carmela Lim from travel blog Holy Smithereens, and Anna Hickey from Etsy. It was a really valuable session and I left feeling super inspired. I love how successful bloggers are only too happy to share their wisdom with us newby’s. It’s just that kinda community! A few cheeky beverages at a funky rooftop bar in the city with my Clever Cookie friends topped the night.

On Thursday, tickets went on sale for the Pro Blogger Training Event with 400 tickets snapped up in the first 20 minutes and yay… I got one! Super excited… bring on August!

Fast forward to Friday and I received news that my crashed hard drive is beyond repair and my precious data is not able to be retrieved! Cue tears. Lots of tears! That damn hard drive had our whole life on it. Baby photos, holiday photos, finances, etc. The upside… being the sharer that I am… life’s big moments are pretty much all on facebook so not all is lost. But still… devastated! And a tough lesson learnt… back up EVERYTHING! Then back up your backup!

Highlights from the week included a splurge at the Witchery sale, conquering an arm balance posture at Yoga finally and getting a babysitter for our Wedding Anniversary celebration dinner next week! Yay!

Still with me?? Here’s some bits that have caught my eye this week around the webs…

  • Our trip to Ikea during the Christmas holidays was rather brutal and I swore I wouldn’t go back anytime soon. But reading Lauren’s post on 21 awesome uses for the raskog cart has almost changed my mind
  • I loved looking at this hipster couple’s wedding anniversary shoot
  • Have you analysed your friendships lately? A lengthy read from Elephant Journal but I’m sure we can all relate
  • I loved Who What Wear’s five style rules for those who are no longer part of the 20-something club
  • Is there room for more cat content on the web? Apparently so! Quick cat owners, secure that insta account asap!

Enjoy your precious weekend and remember… back-up your back-up!!

How do you store your photos?

Are you a cat person and will you be securing your cats own instagtam account?

Do you have any style rules you stick to?

Another week gone… and we’re into March and Autumn. Just like that!

Its been a juggle of a week with both kids sick and hubby interstate for work. Thank goodness we have a quiet week end coming up. Nippers has now finished which means we finally get a Sunday Sleep In! Well, as much of a sleep in as my2morrows will allow.

I hope your weekend is shaping up well wherever you are. In the meantime, here’s some link love I’ve found around the traps…

  • Its Autumn which means blink and Winter will be upon us. Kinda depressing isn’t it! The only upside… a possible trip to the snow this year and the fact that Winter = leather jacket wearing weather. Check out 6 most affordable leather jackets under $500 from Oracle Fox.
  • I was super excited to be part of Working Mums Collective Monday Motivating Mum series. Sarah started Working Mums Collective for working mums to connect, share stories, celebrate successes and really support and empower each other no matter what journey they are on. Its like a cheer squad for working mums! Thanks lovely Sarah for having me!
  • I first saw this on a local parenting group I belong to. What an awesome hubby! Yep, Miles you really do have a way with words!
  • I’m loving all the grey I’m seeing around the place {not the 50 shades type of grey!}. Pair it with Yellow and oh my gosh. Check out Leanne from Lime & Mortar’s latest Colour Pop. Then go back and check out all of her Colour Pops and tell me how many items are on your shopping list!
  • I can’t for the life of me get the Huz to come to a Yoga class with me and have been talking up the benefits for years. So it was interesting to read this article from Fitstar on why men should do yoga.
So that’s it from me for now.
Have a fab one and enjoy this glorious early Autumn weather.
Have you spotted anything interesting around the interwebs? Do share in the comments below.

Hello hello!

Happy Saturday! There’s something rather lovely about Saturday mornings. The whole weekend ahead, so full of promise! I hope yours is shaping up well.

I have a busy one with three nights out IN A ROW! It’s been a while since I’ve done 3 in a row. Like, since the 90’s! Thankfully my little bro gave me some advice… Just go hard on nights 1 and 3 and you’ll be fine. Righto bro!

So today’s post is all about links! I love me a link list and can get lost for hours devouring just… stuff! So after being inspired by my Clever Cookie friends, I thought I’d give it a crack.

I used to be the biggest magazine junkie. Working in media meant I was on pretty much every subs list (even those crazy niche publications). But it seems my magazine junkie days are pretty much over, apart from a few faves of course… Real Living, The Collective, the occasional Harpers. Oh, and the odd gossip rag when I’m in the hairdressers chair!

Besides these few, I actually enjoy reading blogs so much more anyway. Real people writing about real things is totally my cuppa tea. I love the variety of content on offer.

So with that in mind, here’s some bits and bobs I’ve spotted around the place this week that I thought you might like. Pop the kettle on…

  • Do you find it hard to throw away your children’s artwork? Bring them to life and turn them into 3D toys thanks to this Aussie mum. The cutest idea I can’t wait to try.
  • Remember flip books? Check out this proposal!
  • Inspiring Australian of the year, Rosie Batty has launched an app to help women avoid unhealthy relationships. Such important work she continues to do.
  • Been to Dubai? If not, you will want to after seeing this.
  • I’ve been completely hooked on the podcast, Serial and now that I’ve finished all 12 eps and read Smaggle’s discussion post, I’m wondering what to listen to next to fill the void. Any suggestions?
  • Ever wondered what’s in lipstick? Kristy from Loulou Zoo explains. Apparently the average lipstick wearer consumes up to 400 lipsticks in a lifetime! OMG!
  • Bad Mood? The lovely Jess from A Little Part Of The World will help kick it to the kerb with her tips.

So, there you have it. If you too love a link list, be sure to check out The Ultimate Rabbit Hole hosted by Karin from calm to conniption and her awesome Ultimate Rabbit Hole co-hosts – Sam at The Annoyed Thyroid, Jess at A Little Part of the World and Fleur at Our Urban Box.

Your weekend reading is sorted! Enjoy!
